How to identify it
Blue over red with a gold crown in the upper flagpole corner. Haiti uses the same blue-over-red bicolour but carries a coat of arms in the centre instead of a crown next to the flagpole.
Design and construction
- Adoption and legal status
- The crown was added in 1937 after the 1936 Olympics revealed that Liechtenstein and Haiti used the same plain blue-red bicolour.
History of the design
A 1982 law introduced the current drawing of the crown while retaining the 3:5 blue-over-red layout.
