How to identify it
Blue, white, red, white, blue horizontal bands with the wide red band in the middle. Thailand is the same arrangement with the blue and red swapped.

- The five-band flag was adopted in 1848; the state version’s arms were later revised several times.
History of the design
The central red band is twice the width of each blue or white band. Civil flags are plain, while state flags carry the arms toward the flagpole.
