How to identify it
Orange, white and green horizontal bands with an orange disc in the centre of the white. India has a similar palette but a blue spoked wheel in place of the plain disc.
Design and construction
- Adoption and legal status
- Niger adopted the orange-white-green flag in November 1959 before independence.
History of the design
References record inconsistent proportions in official practice, so the often quoted 6:7 format should not be treated as a universally applied construction rule.
